Individual Counseling
As a clinician working in private practice for over eleven years, Patricia Brady is a practitioner who is aware of and sensitive to the diverse needs of individuals and families. Over the course of Ms. Brady’s career, she has had experience with high risk populations including those at risk for mental health disorders, such as depression, and personality disorders. A significant amount of Ms. Brady’s practice has involved those individuals touched by adoption and facing challenges related to establishing or reestablishing a healthy attachment.


Family Therapy
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Patricia Brady has been providing services to families who are experiencing a crisis. Ms. Brady works primarily with families and children, however, has experience working with couples reconciling relationship conflicts, as well as those challenged by infertility. Among those families who Patricia has worked with are those involved with substance abuse, child abuse, domestic abuse and those experiencing challenges related to learning challenges, and behavioral difficulties.

Recognizing that families have diverse needs often related to cultural differences, Patricia is willing to adapt to the strengths of the family system and cultural and religious values the family comes to the session with.

Patricia Brady approaches her clinical practice with cognitive behavioral model, while always being cognizant of family system’s theory. Patricia has extensive experience and training working with children who present with behavioral and educational challenges. Patricia’s office is arranged in a manner which allows for children to feel comfortable and safe as they begin to work on issues which led to their coming in for treatment.

Patricia Brady has the ability to bill third party insurance carriers and will negotiate with those others on a case by case basis. Treatment will not commence until the billing aspect of a case is satisfied to avoid any disruption in service delivery. Patricia will not accept a client if she is unable to commit the necessary time that the family and or individual client requires. In the case where there is no insurance available, Patricia’s hourly rate is $150 per hour, with adjustments being made based on an individuals financial needs.

Educational Advocacy
As a former member of the Medford School Committee for six years, Patricia Brady developed a deep appreciation for the needs of children and their families as they negotiated the special education system for their children. In her private practice, many families have turned to Ms. Brady for guidance, advocacy and support in terms of understanding their child’s learning needs and working with the public school system which at times can be challenging and overwhelming.
